Chianti Classico Wine Tour
Chianti Classico area is one of election tops of Tuscan wine, where the complexity of Sangiovese grapes and other native varieties express its best characteristics of great elegance. The area, located between Florence and Siena, with its beautiful landscape of vineyards, olive groves, small medieval villages and farms, has been worked with wise patience by men who have been living
here from centuries, giving us glimpses of that recall Renaissance paintings.
Our trip will give us a full day between medieval towns, walks in the vineyards and visits in historic wineries
tasting wines that have made the history of these areas “lulled” by unique landscapes. The choice of the wineries will be
linked to the major theme of recent years: traditional Chianti Classico wine or more international flavour wine. Comparing two wineries we understand
how the wine has changed over the last 20 years.
PROGRAMME
- 9:30 - Departure from Florence or Sienna with our car or minibus
- 10:00 - visit of the first winery with wine tasting. Brief first part description of the local wines and introduction of the winery. My introduction will be integrated by the manager or the owner of the winery.
- 12:30 - light lunch with local food tasting
- 15:30 - visit of the second winery with wine tasting. Brief second part description of the local wines and introduction of the winery. My introduction will be integrated by the manager or the owner of the winery.
- 17:30 - go back to Florence or Sienna
- 18:00 - arrival in Florence or Sienna
We organize private tours with a minimum of 2 persons to a maximum of 8 persons in order to offer a high quality service.
We do not indicate the names of the wineries because they can vary depending on periods and availability of executive management. We guarantee the absolute
quality of all the wineries we visit, some of which are cited in the most important international wine guides. At least 15 days before the visit
we will communicate the names of them and more detailed information.
